Dry Socket... Should be renamed - Hell on Earth.
I had my lower left wisdom tooth savagely removed from my mouth 12 days ago. This little tooth was impacted and resting on a nerve in my face that could have been paralysed if it all went wrong, and at this moment in time face paralysis is a much better option to the Dry Socket I'm currently suffering. The dentist sedated me, but the sedation wasn't strong enough to keep me oblivious to the traumatic extraction, of which I remember fully. He had to stop half way through the procedure to give more local as I was most probably screaming at him, but I know I was clawing at his arm! He had to eventually cut the bugger out, and for reasons unbeknown to me, he didnt stitch me up!!!! (wanker) I didnt spit, swill, suck, swallow (alliteration at its finest there) or do anything really until the next day, as I came home promptly and waited for death to come.
